Lame Or Legendary... Your Choice!
"Josh Shipp is dedicated to one thing: entertaining, inspiring, and empowering teens. He’s written books, shared the stage with Bill Cosby, appeared on MTV’s TRL, Comedy Central, NBC, FOX, TLC, and in the LA TIMES . And he’s already established an international reputation as an inspiring youth speaker with a simple and entertaining, yet challenging message.
Abandoned and abused as a child, Josh was able to triumph over the tragedy, and he continues to encourage everyone to overcome struggles and live life to the fullest. And he does so through the power of laughter. Josh is animated and hilarious, and his speaking style is challenging and thought-provoking. Josh has spoken to more than one million people about how his opportunities in life have made him who he is today. For over eight years, he has inspired, empowered, and entertained audiences all over the world. Josh’s ability to connect with the audience is a rare gift and is one you don’t want to miss.
Hey Josh is a website that provides advice, entertainment and community to teens through the web, films, live events and published books. Based on the old-school principles of Dear Abby, Hey Josh provides digital advice to a digital generation that is “in your face, but on your side”.
Josh is a spokesperson for National Foster Care Month, a marathon runner and a guitar hero."
Awesome guy if you ask me. Check out this video he put together, it's called Factory.
If only everyone thought like Josh. I think I am going to see if Jason, our Youth Pastor, will let me present this video to the Junior High and High School Kids. I think this is something they need to hear. I only with I would have heard this at a younger age. I feel that more kids need to here this a lot more often. Enjoy.

Bradley In His First Christmas Program
This was Bradley's first Christmas Program. He did better than we thought he would do. He just sat there for the most part. But it was cool to see anyway. Here is the video.

Set It Straight
Have you ever sat back and thought about how far the world has come with technology? It is remarkable. To add to that, have you noticed how everything is expected to be not just fast but instant. We want instant access on our cell phones, on the web, in the store, at the local Starbucks, and even in our daily commute to work. Think about it for a second. We as a nation and as a world, can't stand it when we have to wait for something.
This talk of instant everything reminded me about a DVD that Donald Miller released a while back. It's called Free Market Jesus. (You can watch a short clip in this link) The DVD talks about how commercialism tells us everyday, buy this and everything will be perfect. With that in mind, how do we try to introduce the Gospel to someone who lives in the commercialism world that doesn't know the Bible or Jesus. Not that we as Christians are selling the Bible, but in all respects, commercialism makes it hard to sell. Anyway, this is a great DVD and I recommend anyone to talk a look at it, enjoy.

Mickey's Basketball Game
Here is Mickey playing basketball. I am sorry for the view in the film. Christy had a hard time getting good shots because of all the people helping out with the players. I tell you what, these kids really have fun out there. Enjoy everyone.

Mickey Plays T-Ball
A local physical therapy group in town put together a League of Dreams. Giving local kids with disabilities a chance to play sports they normally would not be able to play. Mickey had the chance to play t-ball this past summer. The video I took of the game is not that great. I didn't think I was going to have this blog at the time. But I did get him going around the bases and crossing home plate. Right now Mickey is getting the chance to play basketball. I forgot the video camera for his first game, but I will take some video at next Sundays game and post it too.
